Bio2ic assisted with the concept design for the new BSL-3 facility commenting on the draft design and ensuring the needs of the future users were being met.
We provided support throughout the various construction stages by inspecting the site and checking the biocontainment aspects in terms of compliance and adequacy
Tony Della-Porta worked with the users of the facility to create the University Malaya Medical Centre Medical Diagnostic Laboratory Mycobacteriology BSL-3 Lab Safety & Operating Manual. It is a detailed guide to the access to the facility, operating and safety procedures to be used in the facility and guidelines for emergency procedures.
Tony also travelled to the University of Malaya to provided a BSL-3 & Formaldehyde Decontamination training course for the users of the facility to ensure that they are able to work in a BSL-3 environment safely and effectively
