Defence Export Controls
Defence Export Controls has published a new 'Australian Export Controls and ICT' Guide on its website, www.defence.gov.au/deco. The link to the Guide is under the "Notices" table.
The Guide explains the export control laws regarding the physical export, intangible supply, publication or brokering of information and communication goods, software or technology. It is relevant to the researcher sector, SME, large, and multi-national organisations.
Defence Export Controls has recently updated its online guidance for record-keeping requirements for controlled supply activities in response to the feedback from the recent Universities Australia Compliance Managers' workshop. The updated guidance provides more examples of what could be used to comply with the record-keeping requirements in the Defence Trade Controls Regulation 2013.
