Biological Containment
Biological Containment ("Biocontainment") encompasses the design and practices that ensure microorganisms are not unintentionally spread to the community or environment.
Bio2ic provides advice on biocontainment principles, including:
- design standards
- laboratory practices
- safe working environments
We have worked assisting in laboratory design, working with engineers and architects, and training staff in correct procedures and operation. In particular, we have provided advice on air handling systems, HEPA filtration, negative pressure control, positive pressure decay testing and sewage treatment.
